Description

openssl.cnf needs review as to what is feasible and what is surplus, and also comments on what should be changed/configured.

Inspiration might be: https://github.com/OpenVPN/easy-rsa

$ENV::VAR might be useful.

Consider pathlen constraint for CA:

basicConstraints        = critical,CA:true,pathlen:0
