Bug #7731

Users should be able to edit only "manual" feed
Added by Pavel Kácha 4 months ago.

Description
If whoever edits by hand the group or network which is automatically updated from other source (Negistry), the updater will have a tough time to decide what to do (leave? update? croak?)
The users should be allowed to edit only "manual" feed/source, populated automatically on the first edit. Manual feed should have the highest rank to actually override updated data. That way the updaters could safely update only their feed.

Pavel Kácha, just to be clear that I understand what you mean:
When user edits a group/network then the source changes to manual and rank increases (if network was changed).
Then the next day the importing script will behave like this:
a) group was changed
The group from the import will be matched to the one we have in the database based on the emails / name of the group. The script will update existing networks with the same source (nothing will happen), then it will create the missing networks. As the sources differ, a new network will be created and it will be basically the same as the day before, before the edit.
b) network was changed
Basically the same as a).
Do I understand the assignment correctly?
